Top Quality Pool Supplies
Pine Ridge carries only quality pool supplies for all types of pools and hot tubs. Free testing is available. Bring a small sample and pool dimensions including depth at the shallow and deep ends.
If you’ve opened your pool & it’s green there are several things you can do that will help regardless of the exact chemistry:
1. Remove debris – Skim leaves, sticks, and any visible debris from the pool.
2. Brush the entire pool – Walls, floor, steps, ladders, and corners. This breaks up algae and makes it easier for chlorine to kill it.
3. Vacuum if possible – If there is a lot of settled algae, vacuum it to waste if your system allows.
4. Run the pump continuously – Keep the water circulating 24 hours a day until the pool clears.
5. Clean or backwash the filter – A dirty filter will struggle to remove dead algae.
6. Add liquid chlorine if you have some on hand – For a 21,000-gallon pool with visible algae, adding about 2 gallons of 12.5% liquid chlorine now can start fighting the algae before your water test. Pour it slowly in front of a return jet with the pump running.
7. Get the water tested before added anything else.
